A safe space for connection and growth

The Women's Support Circle was established in 2021 to provide a safe space for healing and growth. Together, Art Therapist & Counsellor Anne Hurst and Empowerment Life Coach Dee Petit utilise a strengths-based, supportive approach interwoven with culturally responsive frameworks such as Te Whare Tapa Whā to emphasise interconnected wellbeing across mental, physical, spiritual, and familial domains and the Tree of Life model, which encourages reflection on personal strengths, resources, and support systems.

Exploring holistic wellbeing through expressive arts, women can explore their experiences nonverbally as well as verbally. This can foster safety, while creating transformation. Integrating these frameworks, the sacred circle holds women to empower them to reclaim their narratives, cultivate resilience and creativity, and foster a sense of agency in their healing journeys.

This twelve-week programme consists of eleven online two-hour Zoom calls on Wednesday evenings, 6:30-8:30 pm, and one in-person Wednesday evening gathering to support women's personal connections and encourage friendships to form.

Throughout the programme, women will be supported to explore life issues creatively to enhance overall well-being. Coming together in a safe space, women can experience a sense of belonging, release stress and creative restoration within a community that enhances their lives.

This circle is FREE for 10 women!  Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis! Register today to hold your space.

What you’ll experience

  • A guided women’s circle held in a safe, respectful and supportive environment

  • Opportunities for sharing, listening and reflection without pressure or expectation

  • Gentle use of expressive and creative practices to support wellbeing

  • A strengths-based approach that honours individual experiences and personal journeys

  • Connection with other women through shared stories and meaningful conversation

Why does this matter?

Many women carry responsibilities, experiences and emotions that are rarely given space to be expressed or witnessed. Women’s Support Circle creates a dedicated environment where women can pause, reflect and tend to their wellbeing in a way that feels safe and supported.

By coming together in a circle, participants are offered an opportunity to connect more deeply with themselves and others. Shared reflection, creative expression and guided facilitation help foster resilience, self-awareness and a sense of belonging, supporting wellbeing across emotional, mental and relational dimensions.

Who is this for?

Women’s Support Circle is for women seeking connection, support, and space for personal reflection in a gentle, guided setting.

The programme is suited to women at different stages of life who value shared experience, respectful listening and holistic approaches to wellbeing. No prior experience is required, only a willingness to participate in a supportive group environment.
