Youth Tribe Art Connection is a place of inclusion, connection and involvement in positive healthy relationships entwined with simple acts of giving, mindfulness, self-learning and creative expression which uplifts everyone involved.

This eight-week after school interactive experience is for female and male students ages 14+ with art therapist Anita Vlasic and life coach Dee Petit who lead youth through a series of creative art projects & mindfulness activities based around Maori concepts. Participants are offered an opportunity to experience and explore the application of Māori concepts utilizing creativity as it relates to individual well-being.

During the 8 weeks youth will encounter art experiences that teaches, supports and strengthens their personal identity, increase self-esteem and utilize creativity to gain insight of self. Our programme brings youth from diverse cultures and local schools together to build relationships and share in an art experience that encourages personal artist expression and personal growth.

Each session will incorporate visual arts, a range of art materials and recycled products. All will be able to participate at a level that is comfortable and suitable for them. No prior knowledge or experience needed.
