Dancing through the Underworld

Dee Petit and Saila Wood invite you to connect with your river and hear the voices of your well and allow your wild woman to rise and bring through what she wishes to share….the ancient wisdom that she holds within that has been lost, suppressed and polluted for many lifetimes through the patriarchal culture. Allow your womb wisdom to birth and bring forth your Creativity….your Passion and step into your power source of the Divine Goddess that you are and always have been.

What is the Underworld?

How do we navigate through the Underworld?

How do we Reconnect & RE-member our Wild Woman Wisdom?

We are all filled with a longing for the wild. There are few culturally sanctioned antidotes for this yearning. We were taught to feel shame for such a desire. WE grew our hair long and used it to hide our feelings. But the shadow of Wild Woman still lurks behind us during our days and in our nights. No matter where we are, the shadow that trots behind us is definitely four-footed!
— Clarissa Pinkola Estes. Ph.D

We all have a shadow side that needs to be acknowledged and at times tamed. We as women have a longing to heal deep rooted wounds that have been carried in our blood lines for generations. It is time to untie oneself, to be free of the bonds – the false and negative beliefs that hold us back from believing that we are worthy and that we have so much to contribute to the world.

In this workshop we will:

  • Dive deep and flow with ‘Rio Abajo Rio’… Our river beneath the river.
  • Explore archetypes and the masks that we hide behind.
  • Journey through creativity, meditation and dance into the underworld allowing ourselves to let go of what no longer serves us and that which pollutes our waters.
  • Connect with ancient stories to help us RE-member the wild woman wisdom that is our birth right.

As our world continues to spin faster and intensify in various ways, we feel deeply drawn to journey with women in loving connection and honouring of The Wildness….in this loving dance of invocation we invite Her to approach us so we can gift Her the eternal longing and creative voices of our deep, flowing river.

In this workshop Dee Petit and Saila Wood bring their gifts and passion to weave and dance our stories, stitching our wild woman back to RE-membering. Together we will creatively explore storied journeying and our sacred, instinctual longing to belong, to be ravished and claimed by our mysterious other-ness.
